What is the Stopcocks Community?

Ever since I started plumbing in 1990 I believed that being a woman plumber, I had no need to worry about competition from the male plumbers. I still hold this belief, and to this end have worked hard to create a community and a way to enable customers to find women plumbers wherever they are in the UK.
In March 2010 I launched the first business scheme to help you gain your NVQ qualifications and connect women plumbers around the country.
From your feedback it seemed necessary to do more and I believe we have put together a package to beat any you can find.
The Stopcocks Business Scheme takes you from newly qualified to self employment and then allows you the opportunity to own part of Stopcocks.
It’s a known fact that nobody cares more for your business than you. Because I want you to care about Stopcocks as much as I do, when you join us and complete our Business Scheme you get the chance to own a part of Stopcocks for yourself.
What is the Business Scheme?
- 12 months renewable license to trade as a Stopcocks Woman Plumber, including branded clothing, toolbag, marketing
- Technical mentoring; phone support from a fully qualified plumber 12 hours a day 5 days a week
- Top class training including customer service, pricing, record keeping, business building, getting and keeping customers
- Website as part of the Stopcocks Group including profile, testimonials and photos (coming soon)
- Invited to regular events for networking and sharing with other female plumbers around the country
- Administrative support including negotiating with customers to get you the best rates, invoicing, relationship building with customers on your behalf to keep them ‘warm’,
- Become part of the Stopcocks National Community of Accredited Women Plumbers

Who is this for?
This opportunity is not for everyone. It is designed for you if you are a woman who has completed plumbing courses at college. Technical certificate C&G 6129, 6089, NVQ Level 2,3. Also, ideal for you if you are a woman plumber already self employed and want to be part of part a national brand, and if you are working for somebody else and want to earn within your own business.
