After 20 years in the business and hearing from countless women wanting to become plumbers Hattie Hasan decided it was time to answer many of the questions being asked in a book.
Essentially the book talks about Living the Life you really, really want, by starting your own business and Hattie draws on experience from her own life to illustrate how starting her business, Stopcocks, at a time where there were only a handful of women plumbers in 1990, elevated her from school teacher to ‘almost celebrity’ status.
She looks at the wider issues of confidence, competence and character and discusses why she can be certain that any women becoming plumbers will not only be good at it, but will easily build a successful plumbing business.
The book has been read by women young and old, by female plumbers, entrepreneurs and business men. This is what one of them had to say
“Packed with useful insights. Useful not just for would-be women plumbers, but anyone looking to make a difference to their lives” Mike Southon, Best selling author, Financial Times Columnist
